The Ashtagram Association (registered under the Societies Registration Act. Registration no C-85/33-34 of 22nd May 1933) was established in 1933. The villages covered by the association are Deverayasamudram, Shillangere, Ganjigunte, Vijilapura, Hunkunda, Yelagondahalli, Kothamangalam, Chamarahalli, Doddiganahalli, Cholankunte, Madamathanahalli, Haralakunte, Gangapura, Tattangunte, Honaganahalli and Madamuttanalli. These villages are in Mulbagal, Kolar and Bangarpet Taluks of Kolar District, Karnataka state. The membership of the association relates to all persons belonging to Ashtagrama Villages. The association has complited 75 years on 22nd May 2008 and celeberated platinum jubilee on 4th January 2009.
